Linian Lessons #2: Linkera
Posted on June 19, 2012 Leave a Comment
If you want to understand my “religion” of Linkatsa,
you have to know the man named Linkera.
Here is a brief excerpt from The Book of Events:
Linkera was a man created by the Terra Warriors (angels and demons that lived on Earth) to battle their enemy, Chaos. [Linkera] has the brute force of a demon, and the focus of an angel, but his body was all human.
After avoiding his purpose in life for a while, he fulfilled his destiny by fighting his adversary. He was unable to destroy him, but he did incur memory loss on Chaos.
This brought him time and he used it to find a way to destroy his nemesis.
He used this time to create the Linkatsa Religion, the Linkatsu Arts, and founded the Linians.
To go into slightly more detail, he taught us the importance of
community and that the only two rules our “faith”
should follow are:
1.
To place love for your fellow sentient beings above everything. That includes non-humans as well.
2.
To maintain healthy social order without completely influencing personal and greater social histories whatsoever.
He had no problem with Linians following other religions(or none at all)
as long as we stuck to those basic rules.
If you have any other questions about Linkera,
please feel free to leave a comment on this post
and I’ll get back to you.
Have a blessed day!

Linian Lesson #1: The Creator and The Destroyer
Posted on June 18, 2012 Leave a Comment
We Linians are followers of a religion called Linkatsa which
you can learn more about here.
I’ll get into our namesake later, but what I want to touch on
is this idea of The Creator vs The Destroyer.
Linkera told his Linian followers that
the angels and demons answered to these two beings, The Creator and
The Destroyer, respectively.
But the thing was that they never saw or heard from these
two beings, it was more of a “following of
intuition.”
Some of us Linians don’t buy into this theory,
some believe it was a form of madness
that informed the angels and demons.
Some think that recent sightings of these two “men”
are a way to find out if these two beings exist.
Me?
I have no clue being a Christian, but stranger
things have happened in life…

Karen’s Thoughts #6: Love

I remember when I was 17 as a young Linian.
It was during the beginning of summer that I made
a move towards the object of my affections, Terrell Dest.
I thought I was in love with him and I confused it
for what it really was: a deep care.
I did fall in love with him eventually but
not in the way I thought.
It was beautiful though, but as I sit here
typing my thoughts as a grown woman,
I’m reconsidering
what love actually is.
It not this word that we humans created with our limited
understanding of the universe.
It’s not romantic, communal, or idealistic.
I feel like it’s the complete acceptance of your
raw, naked light with all the dirt you accumulated in life
burning away withe eventuality of time.
But our human tragedy is that we created so many
rules to cover that raw, naked light
that we are in love with concepts
and not each other.

Karen’s Thoughts #5: The Bodyguard

Most Linians only have to concern themselves with only
protecting the Earth.
Me?
Not only do I have to worry about that,
but my full time job is about protecting this guy:
There’s a high degree of frustration in guarding someone
who has no idea that they need protection.
Since Kindergarten I had to watch over him (no pressure).
Because he is instrumental in defeating our enemy, Chaos,
I have to take this duty more seriously than anything
else in my life.
I wonder if I can file my life under “child abuse?”
But I will say that having him as my friend balances things out.
I couldn’t ask for a better person to focus on.
