Where is that LINE and how far do I have to go?
In my time at high school,
I always knew I wanted to be a journalist
and I knew exactly what steps I needed to take
to get there.
(It helped that I knew Rachel Fairs.)
So it’s kind of hard for me to
relate to those who have no idea
of what they want to be.
It seems like a lot of life is aimless
and most of us are just shuffling around
looking for something the inspire us.
I think you have to make a mark in the distance
and aim to reach it.
It doesn’t have to be far,
but as you reach it,
start to draw another line as you cross the first one.
Just keep making those marks
and you’ll never be aimless…
