The Betrayed

I was once the hero of Fegra.
A great warrior and member of the mythical Elite.
I served along men who believed in things I
could not follow.
But they were my friends and I tolerated it.
But the one thing I loved most was taken away from me.
And I found no purpose in being a hero no more.
I’m not a child and I don’t believe in childish things.
Doing good gets you nowhere at all.
I’m done with fairy tales.

Far be it from me to speak in hyperbole.
But I am perfection in all its reality.
And I will slit your throat if you disagree.
The day I married the love of my life,
half of the Fegarian women went chaste.
Now do I know this for a fact?
No, but it probably did happen!
Don’t doubt the effect my good looks have
on the fairer sex.
After all, how can you deal with perfection?

The words that you hear now are from my mind.
I have never spoken a word in my life.
I need this mask to live because of my genetic mixture.
My mother was a Giradian;
My father was a Fegarian.
Two species who could never produce a child.
But I was the exception and my body suffered for it.
But I did not use that as an excuse to waste my
miracle of a life.
With the help of my mask, I became the greatest hunter of Fegra.
I am a high commander of the Fegarian Army.
I am one of The Baron Four.
I am a fighter; I never give up.

I am a Fegarian, strong and proud.
The Fegarian Army is one of one mind.
We are the hand of the Lord of Fegra.
No matter who is at the helm, we will follow.
His word is the word of our collective reality.
We will even follow him into the gates of Hell.
For what other truth is there but his?
